Level 1 Prevent and British Values Awareness
Course Overview
The Prevent Duty, also known as The Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 was implemented to help prevent people from being radicalised and drawn into terrorism.
In 2022, there were 203 arrests for terrorism-related activity- 20 more than the previous 12-month period of 2021 (11% increase). The legislation also covers the importance of encouraging British values such as democracy, individual liberty, the rule of law and tolerance of all faiths.
The entirely online Prevent and British Values Awareness course is aimed at anybody who wants to expand their knowledge of Prevent Duty and develop an awareness of British values. The course will provide a general understanding and in-depth knowledge of how prevent and British values impact society as a whole and workplace environments.
